Why is the Wedding Photographer Charging that much?

Sometimes, its understandable that anyone can think that a Wedding Photographer is charging a little higher than the expectation. Sometimes it might be way more than expectation.

1. Experience, Knowledge and Skill set.

A Professional and established Wedding Photographer would have spent years of studying, learning and practicing Photography to acquire the immense expertise to capture those Beautiful moments for you. It takes a lot of background and on field work for a photographer to reach to a level where He/she  is today.

2. Time is Money.

A professional's time is valuable. It might seem like that photographer spends around 10-40 hours shooting a wedding based on the number of sessions needed to be shot. However the photographer also spends a lot of time preparing for the wedding, organizing the team etc before the wedding. Once the shoot is over, again the time is spent on Backing up the images, organizing the images, viewing and shortlisting or scrutinizing the images. Needless to mention the amount of time spent on editing the images. Sometimes each finished image might have taken more than 1 hour for the Photographer to give that wow look.

3. Equipment.

A true professional's each lens might cost upto 2 lakhs in some instances. A single professional camera costs anywhere between 1 lakh to 6 lakhs. A photographer has invested a lot of money or would have spent a lot on renting the equipment to make your Big day look stunning. Sometimes a professional photographer might be carrying 2 cameras minimum, with upto 6 or 7 lenses. Needless to mention the cost involved with lighting, Assistance cost, Logistics and more..
